Description
Knowsley is the Liverpool City Region's Borough of Culture in 2022 and is working closely with a number of partners, including Shakespeare North Playhouse and Culture Liverpool, to plan for a ground breaking celebratory year. At the heart of Knowsley's year will be the opening of an iconic and unique cultural venue, the Shakespeare North Playhouse in Prescot. This facility is being designed around best principles of engagement and inclusion for all. We now require creative director and programming services that will design and oversee delivery of the first year's programme for Shakespeare North Playhouse in 2022 and build invaluable foundations and partnerships for future years. Alongside this we require the creation and production of a celebratory event in Prescot Town Centre working with local communities and stakeholders to create something extraordinary linked to the Borough of Culture theme of 'Borough of Storytelling ~ stories of people, places and magic'. In this sense, the town of Prescot will be the stage - inside and out, through and around. Applications are being managed through the 'Chest' procurement process for the first stage. To find out more about this exciting opportunity, to register and to apply, please go to Chest registration and application site and type in keywords 'creative director'. There is also guidance to help you to do this. The second stage will involve interview. Closing date is 3pm on Wednesday 8 July
