Description

Sheffield Hallam University intends to appoint a single company/individual to provide a Programme Alliance Manager (PAM) to the Alliance.

The Hallam Alliance was formed nearly two years ago with the intention of developing a better way of working for all parties concerned; a way of working that benefits all partners, improves collaboration, pro-actively solves problems, and delivers exceptional performance across all areas, providing well designed, well-built and well managed buildings for the benefit of the University's many stakeholders.

The Alliance is intended to be a true partnership, founded on a desire to collaborate, deliver, innovate, and improve how the industry operates whilst creating a unique opportunity to tackle several challenges the industry currently faces. Through bringing FM into the design of our works at the outset, we are seeking to ensure that all developments are designed and built with operations and maintenance in mind from the very start. The Alliance will see us working together through a long-term commitment to create and maintain the best buildings possible.
The PAM will ensure that there is full programme alliance board oversight of the performance of all schemes, maintaining the high-level programme and ensuring that programme wide risks and issues are identified, managed, and mitigated.
An opportunity will be advertised w/c 13 September 2021 and the successful bidder will join the University and its Hallam Alliance partners; BAM Construction, BDP/ ARUP and CBRE to help forge the future success and high performance of both the Alliance and the schemes we are delivering.

Please note: In order to address potential conflicts of interest and avoid distortion of competition as between bidders, parties interested in this opportunity should note that the University will not permit the same entity at any level (e.g., whether as the bidding entity, a sub-contractor or key individual) to be involved in multiple bids.

The contract term is expected to be for 9 years, including break clauses.
The value of the contract circa £70k per annum.

This PIN is intended to advise the market of our intent. It is not intended for consultation or as a call for competition. Please note this does not commit the University to formally launch the procurement or keep us bound to the timescales given.
