Description

The Council requires a detailed bespoke Leadership Programme for all social care provisions across Southend-on-Sea, resulting in all participants receiving accreditation through a university/institute that is endorsed by Skills for Care.
The Provider must deliver an in person face-to-face programme for up to 36 Social Care Leaders. The room will be provided by the Council and will be in Southend-on-Sea.
The Provider will deliver a programme that includes but is not limited to the following:
• Relationship with self as leader and resilience
• Leading others
• Leading through change
• Management and Leadership skills and professional confidence
• Capacity and skills of leaders to support staff development and wellbeing
• Coaching approaches to management and leadership
• Resilience and skills in delivering complex communications (Dealing with difficult
• conversations / managing conflict /performance management /supervision)
• Problem-solving and Decision making
• Emotional intelligence practice
• Workforce planning
• HR/Employment law

Participants will be identified by the Council and will be from a mix of Social Care services, particularly new leaders and those that may have skill gaps within their leadership/management skills and ability.
