Description

Accomodation required for 19 year old male (X) who is currently living in a Childrens Residential Service.
We are looking for single occupancy accommodation for X who will need his own self-contained property due to finding it too disruptive and challenging to live with other residents.
He has a staff team in place which provides 2:1 support and the team will provide the care and support in the property that is found.
A detached or semi-detached property is desired which is close to a small local town where he can access shops and other local amenities; and also allow for X to have his own space as well as space for the 2 staff.
There would need to be a space for staff to sleep over, such as a separate room, annexe or convertible garage.
X has advised that having a garden is important to him where he can get some fresh air and also busk outside.
He has high level needs which make him extremely vulnerable and would therefore need to reside in a safe and quiet neighbourhood.
He can become fixated on his neighbours and he is very sensitive to noise so he would need some distance from his neighbours.
The preference would be to live in the Newton Aycliffe area where he has existing connections with local amenities and feels he is an active member of the local community; or in the Durham/Chester-le-Street area which is closer to family and he is familiar with the area.
