There is a requirement to develop a CPSO competence framework to align the function with other HMCG standards and there is a requirement to consolidate the transfer of the CPSOs from their old HQ branch into the HMCG divisional structures and to seek better alignment of their working practices with wider Civil Contingencies structures and Incident Command System (ICS) principles. This expertise is not available within MCA at this time.
