Description

The Council's offices, Town Hall and Civic centre are combined into one building of approximately 21,000 m2. The Town Hall was constructed in the mid 1970's and much of the central plant and infrastructure are at the end of their operational life.

There have been problems of water ingress through the roofs for some time in 2018 a full condition survey was carried out of the roofs including testing with a Nuclear Moisture Gauge to establish the level of moisture in the roof coverings and structure.
Following the survey a programme of roofing repairs was prepared identifying a proposed planned timescale and repairs to be carried out.
This tender includes the essential repairs needed in year 1 of the programme including capping to all parapets as identified in the roof condition report.
