Description

The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), including the Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) , is looking to appoint a provider for specialist support in the exploration and development of alternative commissioning approaches. The service will provide MOPAC with guidance and support in exploring alternative commissioning approaches on a call-off arrangement, with a maximum value of £49,999, and is expected to run until March 2023.

MOPAC has traditionally taken the approach of commissioning one or more providers, managing these contracts or grants through a clearly-defined commissioner-provider relationship; however, we are aware that other models exist and we wish to innovate with alternative commissioning approaches.

MOPAC wants to ensure that any new approaches are given the best possible chance of succeeding, and for this reason intends to commission expert support to advise, coach, and critique us as we expand our understanding of alternative commissioning models.

The support is also likely to extend to leading or co-delivering on work, in order to ensure that the benefits of any approaches chosen by MOPAC are correctly explained to stakeholders and enriched by the experiences of the provider.
