Requirement
We are currently developing high profile Tableau visualisations to be delivered between March and June 2016 and do not have the necessary internal technical expertise required to apply best practice in reports development and advanced visualisation to enhance the User experience.
We would like to engage a capable delivery partner to work alongside our internal development team to develop and deliver a prioritised work plan whilst ensuring the maximum transfer of knowledge and skills to our internal business intelligence developers.
As a minimum the resources, from the selected delivery partner, to deliver the requirements must hold Tableau Certified Professional status.
The types of users who will benefit from this work plan are:
• Analysts who view and manipulate underlying datasets to make various models.
• Managers who will view the business insights and make informed decisions.
• Others - senior managers and possibly external stakeholders who may use the visualisations to identify critical insights about the sector.
Our high-level requirements are as follows:
1) Review existing Tableau dashboards and develop these further to improve usability and making it accessible to all business users in order to benefit from the insights (between three to five dashboards with HES/SUS/Reference Costs healthcare datasets):
a. review and modify existing Tableau data browsers; and
b. create advance data visualisation to improve user experience.
2) Undertake new Tableau content development and visualisations using a rapid prototyping method to introduce published healthcare
datasets dashboards.
3) Knowledge and skills transfer around Tableau product development and data visualisation techniques to existing internal business intelligence developers.
• provide development expertise in working with more complex datasets as they are introduced into our data warehouse;
• provide development expertise to create advanced data visualisation techniques to enhance the user experiences; and
• document the product development process including adopting best practices for data content development and visualisation techniques.
