Description

The Deputy Mayor for Policing is in the process of transforming the delivery of victim services. We now have an opportunity to invite applicants to offer an innovative and creative proposal to further enhance the offer to victims of crime across Greater Manchester, placing victims at the heart of service delivery to bring about positive and sustainable outcomes at a local level.
This detailed specification has been developed based on a greater understanding of victim experiences, gaps identified within current service delivery, learning from the recent Strategic Review of Victim Services, Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Service (HMICFRS) Inspections and opportunities identified to further support the Greater Manchester Police and the Deputy Mayors vision for victims in Greater Manchester.

Victims and equality are front and centre of Greater Manchester's Police and Crime Plan for 2022 to 2025. 'Standing Together' is a partnership plan that describes a new era of accountable and people-centred policing, community safety and criminal justice services for Greater Manchester.

The plan focuses on three key priorities:

• Keeping people safe and supporting victims
• Reducing harm and offending
• Strengthening communities and places

It also has two themes for action:

• Tackling inequality and injustice in all its forms including Gender Based Violence
• Delivering with victims, communities and partnership
