Seetec specialise in providing first-class services within the skills and education, employability and health, criminal justice and social care sectors across the UK. Pluss CIC is a subsidiary of Seetec and this contract will be with them.

We provide tailored support to help participants progress in their journey, to deal with their barriers and get into sustainable employment. It is therefore crucial support is accessible and timely.

The successful contractor shall provide daily door-to-door transport services for adults with learning disabilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and dignified transportation between their homes and Pluss at the Scott Business Park, Plymouth PL2 2PQ.

• Morning Collection: Service users to arrive at destination PL2 2PQ by 09:00 to 9.15am, not earlier

• Evening Collection: Service users to be collected at 15:30

• Operating Days: Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays)

• Annual Operating Days: Approximately 250 days per year

Service User Profile

• Number of Service Users: 15 adults with learning disabilities who attend on different days. 6 - 9 people travelling each am/pm
• Age Range: 18+ years
• Mobility Requirements: All of the current passengers do not have any significant mobility issues
• Support Needs: Varying levels of support needs, including occasionally some service users who may require assistance with seatbelts, communication support, or behavioural guidance. All will need to be escorted into their homes or Pluss due to lack of road safety skills

All of our customers live in Plymouth, Plympton or Plymstock. Maximum total distance of continuous journey of all travelling in one session (am or pm) is 22 miles.

The minimum distance is 16 miles. Currently use 2 - 3 taxi cars per am/pm but open to use MPV's or Minibuses.

Vehicle Requirements
• Vehicles must be appropriate for the number of passengers (minibus if more than 8 passengers)
• All vehicles must be less than 7 years old at contract commencement
• Vehicles must comply with DVSA standards and hold valid MOT certificates
• Appropriate insurance coverage (minimum £2 million public liability)
• GPS tracking system for safety and monitoring purposes

Driver Qualifications
• Valid Category D1 licence (for minibuses) or Category B (for taxis up to 8 passengers)
• Enhanced DBS check (renewed every 3 years)
• Safeguarding training completed and refreshed annually
• Disability awareness training
• Basic first aid certification
• Minimum 2 years experience working with vulnerable adults preferred but not essential

Additional Requirements for Driver
• Staff must be able to provide basic support and reassurance to passengers
• Friendly staff with good communication skills
