Description

Solihull Community Housing is looking to appoint a suitable Contractor to undertake works to convert the ground floor of a residential high rise property (Linacre House) from existing offices to x3 one bedroom residential flats and x1 general use area.

The Contract is to commence in February 2019 and it is anticipated the works will take approximately 12 weeks to complete.


Site Visit

A site visit / on-site briefing has been arranged and this will take place on Tuesday 18 December 2018 at 10:30am. Note that this is the only time available for viewing the property and Tenderers will not be permitted to visit the property at any other time.

Tenderers who wish to attend the site visit / briefing must confirm their attendance by email to: procurement@solihullcommuniytyhousing.org.uk. Further details will be provided following receipt of confirmation.

The appointed Contractor will be deemed to have visited the Contract address covered by the Works in order to be thoroughly acquainted with the area and the type of property involved and the conditions under which the Works will have to be carried out. No claim made by the Contractor will be allowed on the grounds of deficiency of knowledge in such matters.


Tender Process:

The successful contractor is to be selected through a formal tender process.

SCH has set the following minimum criteria; any Tenderer who fails to meet the criteria will not be considered for the award of this Contract:

Economic and Financial:
- Tendering organisations must have a minimum average annual turnover of £300,000.
- Tendering organisations must provide to SCH when requested, any financial information as may be deemed necessary to demonstrate their economic and financial standing and ability to deliver and complete the Contract.

Experience:
- Tendering organisations must have recent experience (over the past 3 years) of successfully delivering contract(s) of this nature, in terms of similar size, value and scope.
- Tendering organisations must provide to SCH when requested, any information as may be deemed necessary to demonstrate their experience and ability to deliver the Contract to a high standard.

Too participate in the procurement process, organisations need to express an interest in this tender and complete the enclosed set of tender documents in accordance with the instructions provided.

The closing date for the submission of completed tender documents is no later than 12.00 noon on Friday 11 January 2019.
