Description
Wirral Council is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced providers for the provision of a confidential online counselling and advice service for 11-19 year olds (and up to age 25 for young people with SEN or disabilities) across Wirral. Support will be offered through a range of mediums including online messaging, instant chat with a counsellor, text messaging and moderated message boards and forums. The service will operate anonymously, to encourage and empower young people to seek advice and support on issues and problems that they may not have sought help for using more traditional face to face services. The service will be a preventative emotional health and wellbeing support service designed to support low level mental health needs of young people. Young people requiring more complex support will be signposted to the most appropriate local services.
