Description
We are looking for a machine builder to design and manufacture a custom machine capable of continuously pack-grinding a repeating bandsaw tooth form into a series of hardened and tempered steel strips. Multiple steel strips are held together and transferred through the grinding unit in an incremental fashion. A small section is ground to the desired profile before material is accurately indexed for the next grinding cycle. The desired tooth profile would typically be "dressed" into a sacrificial grinding wheel using a rotary diamond dresser corresponding to the tooth form design.
This project is subject to part funding by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Growth Programme 2014-2020.
