Description

The scope of the project is to carry out the following works without the use of a temporary roof:

1. Completely renew slate roofing to Slope 10 including, careful removal of existing slate roof coverings; sorting and setting aside sound slates for re-use; including works in connection with any associated existing fittings and flashings and fixing new (metric sized) slate coverings on new underlay and battens, reinstatement of fittings and lead flashings.
2. Completely renew slate roofing to Slope 1, including, careful removal of existing slate roof coverings; sorting and setting aside sound slates for re-use; including works in connection with any associated existing fittings and flashings and fixing new (imperial sized) slate coverings on new underlay and battens, reinstatement of fittings and lead flashings.
3. Partial re-placement (approx. 50%) and isolated individual slate repairs to the other 50% of Slope 6 with new (imperial sized) roof slates to match existing and isolated individual slate repairs to the other 50% of Slope 6 with new (imperial sized) roof slates to match existing; including works in connection with any associated existing fittings and lead flashings and reinstatement of same.
4. A combination of patch and individual slate repairs to all other roof slopes using a mixture of reclaimed and new (imperial sized) slates in replacement of individual or small patches of slates; including works in connection with any associated existing fittings and lead flashings and reinstatement of same.
5. Stripping of head courses and reinstatement on new battens on Slopes 1-9.
Provision of a Upvc eaves carrier to slopes 1 -9.
