Description

The Weirs is an adopted footpath adjacent to the River Itchen in Winchester. An inspection was carried out which highlighted significant loss of the timber piles which form the front face of the retaining wall forming the river bank together with significant scour of the gravel fill below the concrete capping beam. Following this defect inspection it is considered that repairs are required as soon as possible to maintain the wall and prevent collapse of the footpath.
