In partnership with the LCR Combined Authority, local authorities and the LCR Bus Alliance, Merseytravel is tendering for support to develop a compelling and deliverable package of interventions to transform the bus offer across Liverpool City Region, and greatly improve the appeal of bus against private transport, beginning with core commuter corridors on the regions Key Route Network of roads. Through devolution, the LCR's Metro Mayor Steve Rotherham has set out a vision for bus in the region - we want the Bus Network in Liverpool City Region to be a beacon of best practice - a network which connects opportunities, reduces our dependency on fossil fuels, delivers improvements in air quality and places bus firmly in the heart of local communities as a travel mode of choice.
