Description

Mace Dragados JV requires an experience heritage specialist subcontractor to provide and deliver their services in relation to the HS2 project.
The scope of works will include (but are not limited to):
- Support and liaison (when required) with local authorities and planning services to grant permission for changing or influencing change to the historic environment.
- Attendance to meetings with HS2, stakeholders, regulators or local authorities. (i.e Historic England)
- Advice MDJV on the protection measures that could be implemented for each of heritage assets impacted by the works.
- Implementation of protection works for non-heritage and listed assets.
- Removal, when protection measures are not adequate, of non-designated heritage and listed assets.
- Storage and maintenance of the removed assets on the required conditions related to their nature.
- Reinstatement/relocation of removed assets as per HS2 and local authorities requirements.
- Make recommendations to MDJV in relation to the heritage impact due to the HS2 works.

It is essential that the subcontractor/provider has demonstrable previous experience on large scale complex UK infrastructure projects (e.g. Network Rail, London Underground, Crossrail, Tideway).

If successful, selected Applicants will be required to go through Mace Dragados pre-qualification.
Mace Dragados have been appointed as the Construction Partner to build a fully-integrated HS2 station at London Euston, together with links to the existing London Underground station.

HS2 Phase One includes construction of a new railway line run from London Euston to new stations at Old Oak Common in West London, an Interchange Station near Birmingham Airport and the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and a terminus station in Birmingham City Centre (Curzon Street)
