Description
Contraception can be required by many different individuals in our community. This service specification refers to "individuals" which includes all women, transgender and non-binary people with female reproductive organs.
The national Women's Health Strategy emphasises the importance of increasing access to and choice of contraception, including Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC), for all individuals, and improving their experiences including during fitting and removal of an intrauterine device (IUD), intrauterine system (IUS), or contraceptive implants .
