Description

The University of Essex wishes to engage a suitably experienced and qualified contractor to design, supply and install replacement fire alarm systems in several of our existing buildings at our Campus in Colchester Essex.

Part of the works must be delivered by a Gent 24 Systems Integrator accredited Contractor, acting as either the main or sub-contractor. Please see the tender pack for full details of all accreditations and qualifications required.

The open tender process will consist of 2 question sections, part A and part B. Part A will verify prerequisite issues using PAS91, such as professional accreditations, business and professional standing and financial stability etc and Part B will cover the project specific requirements. All tenderers will be required to submit responses to both Parts A, B and a commercial response.

For this project, we have chosen to use Constructionline, a procurement and supply chain management scheme that collects, assesses and monitors standard company information using the PAS91 set of Prequalification Questions. Please see the tender documents for the level of Constructionline membership and question verification required.

Please ensure that you log-in to your Constructionline profile and verify that the information held on your company is accurate and that you are registered for the following categories ( or direct equivalents) and have achieved a minimum notational value of £350,000 for at least one of these categories within the Constructionline system:

45300000 - Building installation work
45310000 - Electrical installation work
45343000 - Fire-prevention installation works

If you have any queries regarding Constructionline, please contact David Marshall on 07919 298675 or david.marshall@constructionline.co.uk

Those tenderers not wishing to join Constructionline will not be precluded from participating in the process, however, they must complete and submit a fully completed PAS91 Prequalification Questionnaire and supply any supporting evidence required.

The Authority uses the Proactis e-sourcing portal to conduct our tenders. Please ensure that you register your organisation on the Proactis portal in order to participate at the following web address: https://supplierlive.proactisp2p.com/Account/Login where the tender documents can be downloaded.
