Description

The Future Cities Catapult will be providing Programme Direction, Market Engagement and Strategic Advice on the programme. In support of the programme objectives we seek to engage the services of demonstrably renowned subject matter experts in the field of Industrial Controls and Instrumentation to fulfil the expert Client role in the further development of the DBB programme. The objectives of the project are: • Preferred option selection for the development of Outline Business Case in subsequent phases. • Develop a requirements description, assessment criteria and roadmap for the option development and deployment. • Engage with experts and the wider market in the areas listed to provide advocacy and provocation of the proposed options. • Develop the strategy for the next phase of the DBB programme. The supplier will report to the Programme Manager for the Client Design Authority and accountable to the Programme Director/Technical Director. These services will form part of the DBB Client Design Authority Team (CDA Team) to assist in stewarding the development of the future of BIM and its progression into Level 3 and beyond. As a specialist in your field and in a position to contribute to the formative activities of this core team. The responsibilities of the Client Market Authority (CMA) Team members are to: • Develop a set of requirements that are based on the specific industries/disciplines described above to guide the evaluation criteria developed by the CDA team (for the Options created in the SOBC and developed further as part of the fOBC) • Using existing briefs developed during phase 1, develop the content materials for market engagement of the relevant field. • Support the design of the expert groups and workshops • Chair and actively participate in a number engagement per discipline; (i) Expert panel discussion (ii) workshop with industry stakeholders • Capture the outputs of the discussions and write a section of a market research report (for the specific discipline) • Contribute to the Development of 2 detailed scenarios (per discipline) • Further develop the Programme Brief established in Phase I, with the key findings from the market engagement • Support the fOBC team in the option evaluation including the developed assessment criteria and the approach / costing / programme for the subsequent phases to ensure the solutions proposed respond to the market needs identified. • Attend in-person the weekly CDA Team activities that are foreseen to be Monday/Tuesday of each week. • Nominate experts within their community of practice for consideration as part of an expert group • Nominate interested parties within their community of practice for consideration in market engagement workshops • Be open minded and engage with the expert groups to test problem statement, hypothesis, benefits and options • Contribute expertise and critical thinking to the overall development of the programme in consensus with the other CDA Team members.
