Description

A new techhub is an essential part of a UK-Polish tech partnership announced by both Prime Ministers as a headline deliverable at the UK-Polish Intergovernmental Consultations (IGC) on 20 December 2018. The tech hub is intended to be a sustained platform (run by a small team in Warsaw with links to the UK) dedicated to forming innovation partnerships between start-ups, scouting for entrepreneurial talent, forging links between UK and Polish corporates and boosting trade and investment.

Outputs:
1. The project will require organisation of no less than 6 roundtables focusing on different tech sectors in Poland.
2. Desk research and interviews with relevant and selected players in the Polish tech ecosystem (including PFR, PARP, Start-Up Poland, business incubators, big corporate accelerators, regional start-up incubators).
3. Research and interviews with members of the UK-Israeli Tech Hub, and with selected representatives from the UK tech ecosystem (identified with help from the British Embassy and UK Government).
4. Deliver a detailed and comprehensive report and business case including the timeline of the report drafting process and sharing outline and interim drafts of the report.

The project is estimated to last 4 months from the award of the contract.
