Description

Unitas Stoke-on-Trent Limited (Unitas) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stoke-on-Trent City Council which was established in March 2017 to deliver repairs and maintenance services for the Council's housing stock and public buildings. This tender provides the opportunity for contractors to secure a place on Unitas's Property Refurbishment Works Framework. The purpose of the framework is to provide Unitas with contractors to carry out full refurbishment of council owned properties at various locations in the Stoke on Trent area. The works will typically include; strip out and refurbishment internally, some roof works, replace windows and external doors and external hard and soft landscape. The Framework will consist of three contractors and will utilise direct call-off of the contractor which is ranked in first place. Contractors in second and third place will be offered the opportunity to carry out work if the first (or second) placed contractor declines the work, or if Unitas decides to employ additional resources from the framework (a full description of the call-off procedure is outlined in the attached draft Framework Agreement). Holding a position on this framework offers no guarantee of work, but we expect that approximately 20 properties per year will require refurbishment over its lifetime. The framework will be valid for two years with options to extend for two additional 12 month periods (2+1+1) Please note that works will be let on a property by property basis under a JCT Minor Works contract Schedule of Amendments (please see draft copy in the legal Agreement section). The winning Contractor will be required to sign and return the contract within two weeks of issue. No works can start on site until the contract is signed and received by Unitas. This tender will be weighted as follows: Price 70% Technical Questions 30%
