This will enable innovation in the UK and be retained as a viable, sustainable asset for future open access use.
To aid this, CPI is procuring the services of an experienced consultant, who should provide guidance on ideal capability development to ensure CPI complex particles offering is robust and fit for purpose as an open access facility that will attract wide usage from SME and big industry partners alike. As such this consultant should be/have:
• A leading expert in the areas of:
o Complex Particle Making
o Complex Particle Handling
o Complex Particle Characterisation
o Complex Particle Assessment
• A strong global network in industry (from SMEs to large established companies) and academia within which contacts can be utilised to maximise the chance of successful project/capability development and delivery
• Relevant experience, which they must be able to evidence, in the development and scale up of complex particles using a broad range of grinding, mixing, coating, forming and packing techniques along with suitable understanding of particle characterisation and property assessments.
• Project management - ongoing to successful delivery
The supplier must demonstrate high ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) with emphasis on identifying pinch-points or issues and addressing those in a win:win manner.
