Description

South Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridge City Council operate a joint shared Waste Service; Greater Cambridge Waste.

This service is looking for a suitably qualified contractor to provide a trailer-based(road legal) commercial cold water bin washing machine. Minimum requirements are listed below.
If the machinery is sold with maintenance servicing programme for future years please provide details of the maintenance servicing programme clearly including information on whether it is on site servicing or it has to be returned to your premises. Whether the servicing includes labour and parts (filters/ fuses/ tyres/ switches etc) or whether this is an additional cost (and where its an additional cost then please provide this information).
Information around the length of warranty and what the warranty includes or excludes.

Technical characteristics:
Cold water washing machinery on road-legal trailer.

Safe, hydraulic bin lift capable of steel 1100 litre bins and smaller bins
(770, 660 four wheeled and 360, 240 litre bins) to spray clean the container insides while catching sediment/ rubbish for proper disposal and recycle the water.
Suitable filters removeable for cleaning.

Diesel (preferred) or petrol generator with adequate fuel tank with single & 3-phase output.

Large water storage tank with low drainage and easy-fill

Minimum one hose with spray-gun lance.
Trailer hitch with safety chain, strong jockey wheel with easy to use raising / lowering/ locking mechanism.

Spare wheel securely attached.

Clear flashing beacons to indicate operatives at work.

Flood lighting to light area of work.

Rear lighting / number plate panel of high quality, good visibility.

The installation is required for the 1st of August 2022.
Insurances of £5m Public Liability, £5m Employee Liability and suitable insurance for product liability.
