Description

The London Borough of Bromley (the "Council") is seeking consultancy services, from either a single consultancy or a consortium, to deliver research into Bromley at Night.
The Council has received funding from the Greater London Authority (GLA) as part of the Night Time Enterprise Zone which aims to increase the use of the high street after 6pm to make London more liveable, relieve pressure on London's infrastructure and boost local businesses. In extending the active hours of Bromley's high street, there is also an opportunity to ensure that night work is good work.
There are three main stages to the research. The first stage is engagement with users of Bromley Town Centre to understand their views and challenges of the High Street after 6pm. The second stage is to produce a toolkit for businesses based on this engagement. The toolkit will enable businesses to make an informed decision about opening late. The third stage is an assessment of costs and benefits of opening longer to provide an understanding of the economic impact of increasing opening hours.
