Description

Melksham Town Council is seeking to develop a new community park tailored for children aged 4-11, focusing on inclusive and accessible play. The project involves the procurement of natural play equipment or play equipment and facilities that provide diverse, enriching play experiences. Essential features include robust safety fencing and an emphasis for enhance sensory interaction, connection to nature, and sustainability.

Installation of age-appropriate, inclusive play structures for children aged 4-11, which may include:
Climbing structures
Swings
Slides
Sensory paths
Nature-inspired features (e.g., logs, ropes, and interactive sculptures)
Equipment must support physical, social, and cognitive development.
Materials should be environmentally sustainable, non-toxic, and durable.
Safety Fencing:

Installation of durable and safe fencing around the park area.
Fence height and structure to comply with child safety standards and prevent unauthorized access.
Fencing should harmonize with the natural surroundings.
Landscaping and Natural Features:

Would welcome Incorporation of natural elements to enhance a nature-based play experience.
Features such as small hills, sand, tree stumps, natural climbing and exploration.
Landscaping should include low-maintenance native plants to support biodiversity.
