Description
West Midlands Trains requires a train count Database to serve as a repository for train count data to inform business decisions on timetables/train service capacity/pricing, fulfil official business obligations for service ridership reporting and inform passengers about expected train loadings. Data is provided by automatic passenger counts (APC) directly from certain train fleet types as well as manual passenger count data from a variety of sources.
It is envisaged that the Train Count Database will be hosted by the winning bidder and accessed via a web-based browser.
The services are to be provided across the entire WMT network.
Installation, maintenance, and testing are to be provided as part of this contract.
The Supplier shall provide WMT with a PCDS installation residing on the Supplier's server alongside:
• Account management and service meetings.
• A roadmap for future planned system developments, which WMT can shape and influence.
• Provision of quotes for specific custom development or enhancement of system functionality.
• Bug & maintenance fixes including all coding, testing and delivery.
• System upgrades including all coding, testing and delivery.
• System configuration management (including business continuity system).
• Provision of query resolution.
• The system requirements set out in this Schedule.
