Description

The University of Salford wish to procure the services of a Principal Contractor to undertake external surfacing works. Works generally comprise carefully breaking out and relaying existing Yorkstone paviours, localised replacement where required, making good to laying course where soft spots are present, localised soft landscaping to designated area and commissioning of a CCTV below ground mains drainage inspection and anticipated remedial works to the external areas at The Old Fire Station, Albion Place/Albert Bentley Place, The Crescent, Salford M5 4NL.

The works will be undertaken following tendering, receipt of tenders and a tender analysis exercise. Works are likely to begin in the new year from January - February 2024. The scheme will consist of the following:

Works - January - February 2024 (approximate 3-4 week programme)

The works are to be undertaken as a single phase of works and during the normal works hours of Monday to Friday 07:30- 18:00.

The works are to be undertaken during term time, therefore all buildings will be occupied during the works. Contractors must outline how works will be segregated to maintain public access at all times. Public access from the A6 through to the underpass of TOFS and vice versa must be maintained throughout the duration of the works.
