Description

A 3D optical profiler system, capable of measuring the surface profile of corroded materials with excellent vertical resolution, is required to enhance our capability as a user facility within the Sir Henry Royce Institute. Imaged features include grain boundaries of ceramic oxides and metals, and height difference between masked areas of minerals and glass materials. A key requirement is the capacity to measure corrosion of a range of materials in-situ, within a wet cell or similar capability.
