Description

The Liverpool City Council wish to resurface an existing non porous track facility located within the Wavertree Athletics Centre with a new non porous sandwich system polymeric surface. The works will also include improvements to field events. The new track system offered for the resurfacing works shall hold a product approval certificate issued by the IAAF and be on the current IAAF web site for approved track systems. The in-situ system when installed will be certified to UKA requirements and can only be so certified if the latter product approval is in place. The construction of the track, details of which are contained in the specification, must be constructed such that it conforms to the requirements of the IAAF standards. Notwithstanding this, the whole of the works should be constructed using proven methods and proven materials to the highest standards of workmanship and quality, which will give a good useable life for the track surface of a minimum of 15 years with the minimum of maintenance required.
