Description
The emergence and developments in Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM), collectively known as "drones" are disrupting, innovating and will shape and transform the private & commercial aviation world over the next decade.
The DTDC allows other autonomous systems providers and technology developers, including industrial companies, SMEs and start-ups access to a facility to test their products and services, in flight and on the ground in a safe and controlled environment.
It is part of a programme to enhance the world leading testing and research work being undertaken at Westcott Venture Park, which reflects and supports the Government's commitment to development of new aviation technology as set out in the Government's Green Paper, Aviation 2050, 'The future of UK aviation'.
