Description

This tender is to establish a Contract for the refurbishment of 11 shared kitchens in Bowsden Court. The University is relying on Contractor's expertise and knowledge of commercial kitchens to identify and recommend requirements, and to provide a full and accurate cost for the Contract.
The scope is:
i. Recommending level of replacement for kitchen doors and carcasses.
ii. Work with Accommodation Services / E&F / the Main Works Contractor to specify final requirements.
iii. Survey the site before fabrication or purchase of any equipment, furniture and fittings to ensure they will fit.
iv. Provide a general arrangement drawing and all necessary information, including services and setting out details, in order for E&F / the Main Contractor to complete his works. E&F / the Main Contractor will terminate all services within 1 metre of the final required connection, using an appropriate outlet, socket or valve.
v. Refurbishment of the kitchens by 31st July 2022 in accordance with the specification in Section 3 of the ITT, with doors and carcasses able to withstand higher levels of moisture and with reduced risk of damage from impacts.
vi. Supply (including unloading from vehicles and moving to area) and installation of any equipment, furniture and fittings. The Contractor will be required to complete all final equipment connections, providing all necessary equipment for the fixing, connecting and full execution of the works as indicated by the drawings and specification as a whole.
vii. Testing and commissioning all equipment.
viii. Remove all waste packaging and re-use/recycle where possible, and if not possible to re-use/recycle dispose of in method that most reduces negative environmental impact.
The refurbishment is part of a larger Works programme by a named Main Works Contractor appointed by the University's Estates and Facilities (E&F)

Before submitting a tender you must attend a site visit. The site visits will take place between the 31st of January 2022 to the 4th of February 2022 between 10am and 4pm. Failure to attend a site visit will result in the tender not being considered further.
