Description

Health Education England West Midlands is seeking a provider, to delivery a psychology and counselling service to trainee doctors and dentists within the West Midlands, where this type of support is deemed appropriate following initial referral to the Professional Support and Wellbeing team. The overall aim of providing such a service is to provide short-term psychological and/or counselling support to trainees to ensure that they can continue to work and train safely. This service is not a replacement for other avenues of support available to trainees, for example their own General Practitioner and/or other healthcare specialists such as Practitioner Health and the BMA support. Where a trainee has a long standing health issue or mental health illness, this service should act as an interim measure whilst the trainee liaises with the appropriate services through the NHS.

It is expected that this service will be supplied from an existing service to include, a qualified Clinical Psychologist with at least six years relevant post-qualification experience,
Clinical Psychologist and Counselling Psychologist who are registered by the Health Professionals Council - accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Cognitive Behaviour Therapists accredited by British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). This service will also be expected to provide the administrative support to manage the referrals.

The contract period will be 12 months with the option to extend for a further 2 periods of 12 months, subject to annual review and available budget.

This Contract shall be payable based on the volume of activity to be undertaken.

As such, there shall be no Total Contract Value, but a cost per session to be charged to the Authority, this shall be an all-inclusive cost which will cover the total number of sessions delivered.

The total contract value shall not exceed the available budget of £270,000.00 over the full 3 year contract.

The deadline for submission of completed ITT submissions is 17th June at 12:00pm (midday).
