Description

Actual CPV code is '75211200 Foreign Economic-Aid Related Services'.

DFID is seeking a service provider for the supply of technical assistance (TA) in nutrition as part of our package of support to the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement. This will include both short-term and long-term TA to a range of clients.

The value of tender will be announced in due course, and the funding will be for a four year period between 2016 - 2020. It is DFID's intention to run a procurement process to identify a supplier for the provision of the below services in the first quarter of 2016.

The delivery of this TA will require suppliers to have the appropriate expertise and experience to build capacity in SUN countries in the following areas:
-Enhancing the utility of country plans for scaling up nutrition programming
-Improving the efficiency of utilisation of financial resources by countries
-Increasing country access to financial resources for scaling up nutrition programming
-Strengthening the use of data by countries for improving decision-making and accountability
-Scaling up implementation of high-impact actions in nutrition at the national and sub-national levels.

Suppliers will need to ensure that they have access to highly qualified experts in different disciplines and areas, including: economists, statisticians, social scientists, and nutritionists; and specialists in public health, agriculture and food security, social protection, WASH, education, governance, gender, evaluation and resilience.

They should have access to experts fluent in English, French and Spanish at a minimum, with Russian and Arabic language skills desirable assets.

In order to ensure this breadth of TA expertise, bids from consortia of partners with diverse and differentiated expertise across nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive sectors will be welcomed.
