Description

The Service Provider will deliver 1:1 support to children and their families affected by parental imprisonment - support will be provided to 20 children in year 1 and 40 children in year 2:\r
\r
• The Provider will attend the provided CPD accredited multi-level to attain the the skills and tools to deliver this specialised support and to provide resources and support to children and young people identified.\r
\r
• The Provider will work with the Programme Coordinator and wider partners across the system to establish a referral pathway for children with a parent in prison through key contact points with the parent/s and professionals including within criminal justice settings, schools, social care, the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector as well as a self-referral option for families.\r
\r
o Support will be provided by appropriately trained and experienced workers who have a high level of understanding of the impact to children and young people with a parent in prison (support will be provided to 20 children in year 1 and 40 children in year 2) this may include:\r
o Specialist 1:1 support with trained staff\r
o Online activities for children\r
o Parent/carer support \r
o Setting up peer-support groups for children \r
o Establishing volunteer mentors\r
o Coordinating activity/family days where children and families supported in Cornwall can meet.
