Description

FPPH is a Research & Development (R&D) project with an overall aim on consolidating plant health research across the Defra Network. It was set up as a project under 'One Business initiative' to join up evidence delivery across the Defra network. The projects overall aims include:

Delivering Technology & Implementation (T&I) solutions in a cost:benefit framework to future-proof plant health

- Deliver R&D in support of the Risk Register, preparedness and contingency planning (see Plant Biosecurity Strategy; Task Force Recs); Addressing high priority pests, pathways, commodities, hosts responsively and flexibly
- Making best use of unique Defra Network technical expertise whilst drawing on wider external expertise to deliver policy and evidence needs within the context of building capability/capacity
