BRACE II builds on lessons learned in a two year BRACE I pilot project phase which ended in July 2015. The approach adopted in that programme was food and cash for assets. BRACE II is an approved five year programme that intends to leverage long term positive change in community food security and livelihoods - by making these more resilient to climate variability and extremes and localised resource conflicts.
