Description

Thank you for showing an interest in the Coal Authority's requirement to undertake highways and landscaping works following ground stabilisation work in North Tyneside, England. The works shall comprise of;
•Resurfacing, reconstruction and vertical realignment of carriageways and footways including PCC kerbs and edgings of residential estate roads affected by subsidence,
•Re-profiling and landscaping of public open space following the completion of ground stabilisation works,
•Re-profiling and landscaping works to restore the plots of demolished former residential dwellings.
•Disconnection from mains services and demobilisation of existing temporary offices, welfare facilities and site compound.

The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) requires that there is a qualified operative on site at all times while street works are in progress. The qualifications held must be appropriate for the work being carried out. The Act does not require all the relevant qualifications to be held by a single operative - the main requirement is that there is always at least one operative on site whose qualifications match the activities being undertaken. Tenderers shall confirm that NRSWA qualified operatives and supervisors will undertake and manage work within the highway and provide evidence of their certification for the works that they will be undertaking.

The Contract will be for a period of between 4 to 5 weeks, with a starting date of 04 June 2018.

Further details of the works can be obtained by registering via the Authority's e-tendering portal.

Coal Authority tenders are now being undertaken by the Authority's eTender portal InBye, details of how to register can be found in the attachments section of this notice.
