Description

This survey project is designed to establish as accurately as possible the number, location, designation status and condition of West Yorkshire's surviving textile manufacturing sites , in order to set out the scale of the opportunity to foster growth and provide living and working and recreational accommodation, by bringing these iconic, under used and vulnerable textile manufacturing sites back into use.

The survey will review existing sources of information, including previous studies and academic research, Historic Environment Records, other primary and secondary sources of information, including directories, archives, historic maps and online sources. It will then collate this information, to generate a user friendly, updateable resource. It is not intended to identify previously unknown sites.
