Justification
An Accelerated time limit has been selected by the Authority due to a state of urgency, since Her Majesty's Government (HMG) has only committed to provide COVID-19 Lateral Flow tests on a universal offer basis up to 30 June 2021. \r

Therefore, there is a need to have independent validation of COVID-19 test products in place urgently, so that employers and members of the public can have confidence in them, prior to these products being made available on the open market.

Description
To setup and establish laboratory services and personnel capable of:
i) assessing and validating the technical performance of supplied testing equipment (i.e. Products) using a Private Testing Validation Group (PTVG) defined protocol and against an agreed Comparator Assay; and
ii) documenting findings into a standardised report to feed back to the PTVG .
