Description

Mary Seacole was a British-Jamaican nurse and businesswoman who set up the British Hotel behind the lines during the Crimean War. She displayed compassion, skill and bravery while nursing soldiers during the Crimean War. The scholarships are intended to celebrate the life of Mary Seacole while underpinning the values by which she lived and worked.
The Mary Seacole Programme offers leadership development to nurses and midwives working in publicly funded services and through the quality improvement projects, which are a key part of the programme, seek to improve the health outcomes and reduce the inequalities experienced by BAME communities.
Originally developed by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) the programme has developed a significant reputation over a number of years and has been the springboard for nurses and midwives to progress in their careers and undertake work that is focused on reducing health inequalities.

HEE are looking for a supplier to deliver this programme on behalf of HEE and welcome evidence of partnership working in order to maximise the impact for those taking up the programmes.

Further information relating to this project can be found at HEE's e-tendering portal at the link below. All clarification questions and submission bids must be received via this portal only. Registration is free of charge.
