Description

The BBC is looking to engage a supplier to provide Traffic & Travel News and Information to the BBC including all local radio services in England, Wales, and Scotland, Radios 2 and Five Live, regional television, and Red Button, on behalf of the whole BBC. The BBC is looking to purchase reliable Traffic and Travel news information service, available and up-to-date 24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year.

The core service of Traffic and Travel information via the internet/a designated user front end will be available to all BBC users.

The BBC will use the information supplied on associated public services without the requirement to acquire rights for each specific device. For the avoidance of doubt, television rights also incorporate digital text services and interactive TV services. Internet rights cover fixed internet, including broadband over any device and mobile internet including but not limited to mobile phones, smartphone, tablets and other IP connected devices.

All BBC local radio services in England, BBC Scotland and BBC Wales/Cymru, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Five Live Stations may opt partly or wholly to receive bulletins in data/script information form, customised for each individual user department/programme requirement for local voicing and/or to supplement locally-generated content.
