Description

Broadacres invites you to tender for the supply and maintenance of a secure Wide Area Network (WAN) communications service. This Wide Area Network will include connectivity to Broadacres House with strong resiliency and high bandwidth. We intend to maximise the benefit of our new improved connectivity for Broadacres House and deliver:
At this time Broadacres is evaluating alternative infrastructure strategies, to ensure this tender con-siders possible approaches 2 connectivity scenarios are featured. Those tendering will need to submit and price solutions for both scenarios.
Scenario 1
Broadacres will have a managed service for all their communications needs across all of their sites listed in Appendix 1. This solution will create a one stop shop supplier for all of our communication services. Our remote sites consist of small satellite offices with no more than 10 concurrent users working through Citrix but highly reliant on using the applications hosted at Broadacres House. Broadacres House will have a resilient data link(s) and your solution should deliver the following services:
- Secure and private communications for the connected WAN sites
- 30 channels of voice using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for inbound
- Cloud based management tool to allow telephony management and redirection
- A single managed firewall with Direct Internet Access (DIA)
- Connectivity from the firewall to our Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) at Broadacres House hosting our websit...net Protocol (VOIP)
- Business Continuity to replicate our Server Virtual Machines (VMs) running on VSphere 4.1 Enterprise to the providers data centre
- 24/7 Monitor and fix of the Broadacres House data links
- Single point of Contact managed service facility
- Account Management and proactive advice on how to maintain high levels of service and benefit from opportunities developing within our local telephone exchange i.e. fibre to the cabinet.
All ICT services will be hosted at Broadacres House and we would plan to recover our servers at the suppliers datacentre during a prolonged outage or disaster affecting the main office.
Scenario 2
The second scenario is premised on the delivery of the same services but based on an IaaS (Infra-structure as a Service) approach. All systems would be hosted at a suitable data centre and ac-cessed by all Broadacres locations via a thin client methodology, the technology set enabling this is yet to be decided, likely to be Citrix or Remote Desktop services.
Those tendering are asked to propose a solution to best enable this approach and ensure the connectivity solution involved provides the most cost effect approach whilst maintaining high availability and bandwidth. Those tendering should detail if connectivity specified is On-Net or Off-Net. The approach listed will need to consider the hosting element requirements either supplied by them-selves or through a third party, however it is not a part of this tender exercise.
