Description
The St Austell Bay Resilient Regeneration Project (StARR) aims to work across the whole of the Par and Sandy river catchments to reduce flood risks to communities living and working in the St Austell Bay area, particularly the people of Par and St Blazey.
Corserv on behalf of Cormac Solutions is seeking to appoint an experienced contractor to construct a 1400m3 surface water attenuation pond (600m3 effective storage volume) and associated inlet/outlet pipework. Pond inlet to consist of highway gullies on Trevonissick Road and Lamellyn Road, outlet connects to a South West Water surface water sewer via a 5 l/s hydrobrake. A high level overflow is provided in the form of an additional twin highway gully on Trevonissick Road which will prevent the pond from flooding when full. The pond is to be lined with an encapsulated Bentonite Liner.
Bull Engine Park is located on Lamellyn Road, Par, Cornwall. The NGR of the pond is SX 06504 53498. The works are to be carried out in accordance with all documents and drawings contained within the RFQ.
The intention is to award the Contract to the most economically advantageous tenderer based on 30% Quality and 70% Price.
This project has been part-financed by grant funding from the European Regional Development Fund and will be subject to conditions imposed by the funding body. Suppliers will be expected to comply with the relevant requirements and any associated regulations such as procurement, publicity, and eligibility criteria.
