Description
North West Surrey Clinical Commissioning Group (NWS CCG) is seeking to transform and enhance the existing range of Community Gynaecology Services.
The redesigned service provision will be high quality, accessible and multi-disciplinary. The service will ensure that patients are treated in an environment that is sensitive to their needs and will:
• provide care in a convenient setting
• improve patient experience
• reduce intervention and follow up rates
• offer flexible appointment days and times
• help patients avoid hospital visits
• enable staff to develop a holistic view of the needs of each individual
• provide a "joined up" service transition between primary, community and secondary care
• educate and train GPs and other relevant professionals delivering healthcare to North West Surrey residents
The CCG is holding a market warming event on 11th April 2017 to gain valuable insight, feedback and information from service providers regarding:
• the proposed service model
• degree of market interest and capability to provide the service
• an appreciation of which interventions can be provided in a community setting
• specific aspects of the specification including length of the contract, potential for the delivery of geographic lots and opportunities for provider collaboration
Prior consideration of the following questions, which will be explored on the day, would be appreciated:
• How would you organise a community gynaecology service?
• How would your model address workforce challenges in North West Surrey across three localities and a population of 350,000?
• How would you effectively collaborate with acute services?
• How would you involve and facilitate the participation of voluntary organisations/support groups?
• How would you envisage this service up-skilling primary care and acute providers in gynaecological services?
The event will be held at North West Surrey CCG, 58 Church Street, Weybridge, Surrey KT13 8DP (please note that there is no on-site parking), arrival 9.15 for a 9.30 start.
