Description
On behalf of SMP Alliance Partners working with Highways England (Costain Ltd, Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering Ltd,BMJV, Flour Ltd, Jacobs, WSP Ltd) we require the following scope of works:
• to support the SMP Alliance in the design, development, and selection methodology for the identification of appropriate retaining wall or earthwork treatments.
• to assist in the establishment of product (including off-site modular assembly where possible), and systems of work standardisation.
• all necessary people, equipment, plant and materials for the supply, construction, and maintenance of retaining wall structures, including all relevant associated works.
- Design capability for retaining structures
This opportunity covers a broad range of retaining solutions wall solutions, including but not limited to, reinforced soil, pre-cast block or slipped-form wall, sheet piles, cantilever walls (pre-cast and in-situ), and bored pile walls. Please contact the below-named buyer for any additional clarity that may be required to assess suitablity. The SMP Alliance are focusing on standardising solutions so those solutions listed may be removed as we progress. Supply chain will be required to innovate, adapt and work with designers to reduce those solutions.
