Description
The nature of the works mainly involve the design and installation of domestic water supply, including lead main replacement.
Scope of works
1.The Contractor is to be selected from the United Utilities approved list of Plumbing Contractors and be WIAP approved
2.The Contractor will be required to undertake the design and installation of the domestic water supply to the existing internal stop tap which feeds the existing internal water supply.
3.The Contractor will design and install a new external water supply and allow for all connections to the main and to the property.
4The Contractor shall allow for locating the existing lead main and isolating either the complete main or any dead legs. Dependant on his findings and whether the existing supply is required to be maintain to any property not included for renewal.
The properties are located in the Moss Bank and Blackbrook areas of St Helens - included in the scheme for tender are 56 number properties which will need to be completed (List 1). Depending on tender costs there may be a further 39 properties to be added (List 2).

Tenders will be assessed on a Price & Quality basis, with a weighting of 70% Price & 30% Quality. The pricing document will be the signed form of Tender and the quality assessment will be the completed method statements.
