20ft ISO Reefer Container with Dual Refrigeration Units.
The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) is seeking to purchase a 20ft Reefer container with standard doors and two refrigeration units, (one in the front wall and one in the side wall).
Looking outside at the container doors, the side unit needs to be on the right.
The refrigerated container must be able to maintain temperatures at -25°C. Dual redundant refrigeration units must be provided to ensure that in the event of a refrigeration unit failing the reefer will be able to maintain the temperature of -25°C.
The container will be used for storage of ice cores thus the temperature remains critical to ensure the integrity of the ice cores.
NERC currently have four reefers containing the Thermo King Magnum brand of refrigeration units. They require equal to or equivalent of these refrigeration units noting that they have spares which they would like to be able to use. Please see appendix 1. in the attached RE17284 - 20ft Reefer Container - ITQ Invitation to Quote document, for the spares list currently held.
All devices listed must meet relevant British/European or equivalent standards conforming to the ISO shipping standards.
The full detailed specification can be found in the attached RE17284 - 20ft Reefer Container - ITQ Invitation to Quote document.
