Description

The Foundation awarded a contract for a development programme for First Line Managers.
Feedback from the sector, colleges in particular, told us those in first line management positions, curriculum and support staff, with job titles such as "Programme Manager", "Co-ordinator" and "Team leader" would benefit from training in management techniques. Foundation research also found there were some 14,000 managers at this level employed in the college sector alone. This Invitation to Tender (ITT) aimed to commission the development of a programme suitably generic and yet adaptable to the range of providers in the sector. Providers included Further Education (FE) colleges, Independent Training Providers (ITP), Adult and Community Education and charitable organisations.
