Description

This project entails alterations to existing mortuary facility for the installation of a replacement sub-station; the renal technicians currently occupying this area will be relocated to the existing unoccupied renal unit.

The "enabling" works by the Main Contractor (for the replacement sub-station) need to be carried out by an experienced and knowledgeable Contractor who can closely liaise with WPD, the Trust appointed specialist. The Main Contractor also needs to have knowledge of these specialist installations and be capable of installing the works to the close tolerances required by WPD.

The forming of the cable ducts within the floor, it's positioning as well as the installation of trenches and pits externally all need to be installed to very accurate tolerances to ensure that subsequent works carried out by WPD can be completed without issue/delay.

The Contractor needs to co-ordinate the Mechanical and Electrical Sub-Contractors and liaise with WPD to ensure all the specialist services requirements are picked up and located correctly within the altered mortuary area.
